12/02/2010 Tarot Reading

In light of my latest acquisition, Liber Falxifer, I decided to attempt to do a reading using the Tarot to see how the energies of the Cainite current are influencing my life.

Methodology:

1. Shuffled the deck with no significance. Without any special shuffling, drew seven cards to see if the cards were well spaced enough.
2. Determining that they were not, since a few days prior I had seperated out the major arcana from the minor and grouped them individually, I decided I would need to do more shuffling. Shuffled a few more times.
3. Laid out 13 piles (sacred number within the Cainite tradition) and placed the top card in each pile.
4. Put all 13 equal-sized piles together.
5. Shuffle again
6. Draw seven cards.

Method of Tarot Reading Chosen: Septenery Tradition as laid out in NAOS. Given that 7 is also a sacred number in the Cainite tradition, it seemed to make the most amount of sense for the forces I was trying to invoke.

Draw:

1. Two of cups
2. Four of cups
3. Ten of discs
4. Wheel
5. High Priestess
6. Nine of wands
7. Seven of swords

As NAOS describes, 1 is an unconscious factor, 2 and 3 are past factors, 4 is the present, 5 and 6 are immediate future and beyond, and 7 is the outcome.

Symbols within the Cainite Tradition:
Cups represent primordial wisdom, usually connected to the feminine.
Discs represent connection with esoteric forces. Note the pentagram, the key to the gates of death, and the Seven Key Sigils of Death
Swords represent the Will (true, Satanic will)
Wands represent dominion and control (Black thorn wand of Caine)

Interpretation of Major Arcana: High priestess represents earthly, feminine connection to the Divine. Is the connection itself Divine, or the force being connected to? More meditation necessary.
Wheel is clear. Represents shifting around the axis, a fulcrum. Beginning of involvement with the Cainite tradition.

Interpretation of Minor Arcana: Two of cups, representing initiation into the Infernal path (not specifically within the Cainite tradition)
Four of cups represents the gathering of Gnosis and continued evolution?
Ten of discs, perhaps representing the connection to Qliphoth.
Nine of Wands, no known numeric significance. Dominion over earthly matters? Need more meditation.
Seven of Swords, enactment of the Will in alignment with the sacred current of Death.

Excellent reading, but need to do more meditation.
